New record ! 470 pieces of 29 different materials assembled in less than 3 cm in diameter to create the dial of this FOREST WATCH. Beyond the purely technical aspect, the exercise here focused on showcasing the poetry of this incredible creation by the marquetry artist Rose Saneuil, here freed from all constraints for this entirely personal work.

It is always a real pleasure to see your photographic work printed rather than on a screen! For the creation of this catalog of the brand en fil, d’Indienne…, more than 700 images were produced in a few days in the privacy of a Parisian apartment and under the hot sun of the Mas des Songes in Provence, France.
Thank you very much to Nicolas Bertrand for his incredible artistic direction, and especially to Fabrice Cottet for his renewed confidence for so many years, without forgetting Sophie and Patrick Leveau for the flawless support and the exemplary logistic.
I am extremely happy, and proud, to participate in the “BLEU de travail” (workwear) exhibition presented from September 18 to October 4, 2020 in Roubaix, France.
Beyond the incredible artistic proposal proposed by Olivier Muzellec and the Non-Lieu‘s team, it is a real wonder to discover the magnificent Cavrois-Mahieu Textile Factory, an undeniable industrial heritage, wonderfully highlighted, with the last passage crossing one of its two preserved chimney, and the huge stokehole where are presented, among other things, the magnificent unique pieces of the Tuulikki CHOMPRÉ‘s collection.
An exhibition organized by the Non-Lieu, as part of the 2020 edition of Beffrois du Travail, in partnership with the National Archives of the World of Work, the Villa Cavrois and the ESAAT, the College of Art, Design and Textiles in Roubaix.
With the participation of the artists Anne BRETON, Swan CAZAUX, Kim CREIGHTON, Françoise DECOSTER, Raphaël DECOSTER, Paul DESRAVINES, LES FAUX-AMIS, Agnès HARDY, Philippe HOLLEVOUT, Muriel KLEINHOLTZ, Andy KRAFT, Ysabel DE MAISONNEUVE, Julien MOREL, Christelle MOTTE, Thanh NGUYEN, Philippe PAOLI, REGARDER POUR SORTIR (Valéry PELLETIER, Ivan POLLIART), Virginie REYNAERT, Mitsugu SASAKI, Frédéric TENTELIER, Éric VALDENAIRE, Amélie VIDGRAIN.

More than 200 pieces of a dozen different materials assembled on a disc no larger than a watch dial: this is the incredible result of the work of the French creator in marquetry Rose Saneuil to discover at the trade show Revelations which is held at the Grand Palais in Paris from 23 to 26 May 2019.
The difficulty in shooting these miniature marquetries was in highlighting the diversity of materials that react very singularly to the light. The format of the animated image was then imposed at the expense of the still image that reached its limits here.
Or when the image is serving the product.
Jewel in multi-material miniature marquetry
Rose Saneuil’s creation
Pattern : Ø 33 mm, 209 pieces
Materials : Sycamore, beech, tulip tree, sycamore, mother of pearl, parchment, leather (calf), beetle elytra
For the exhibition “Thread of time, textile connections” presented at the MAMA – Maison de l’Artisanat et des Métiers d’Art in Marseille from December 14, 2018 to February 16, 2019, I photographed the hands of the artists Ysabel de Maisonneuve, Diana Brennan, Veronika Moos, Sandrine Pincemaille, Fanny Viollet, Aude Tahon, Laurent Nicolas (from left to right below).
Real photographic portrait, each image incorporates an accessory and a gesture specific to the own work of the artist. It was for me a very nice moment of intimacy created and shared. Thanks to all the artists for their trust, and to Ysabel de Maisonneuve who was the artistic director of this project.

It was a real great pleasure to answer to the invitation of the UPP for the holding of a conference on the theme “The Essentials of Studio Photography” within the Forum des Pros at the last Salon de la photographie held in Paris Porte de Versailles from 7 to 11 November 2018. A nice moment of sharing.
A video recording of this conference will soon be available in replay on the UPP website.
As usual, it was a real pleasure to welcome a group of students of IIM – Institute of Internet and Multimedia for a Photography workshop, or how to learn the basics of photography in one week.
At a time when more than half of these students are brought, as part of their learning process, to publish content on social networks, some fundamental notions of photography were greatly appreciated. Intensive program created to measure, combining theory and practice, to respond to many situations (reportage, portrait, still life, packshot, story telling, …) using the technique (camera settings, shooting techniques, editing, metadata, digital workflow, online publishing, …).
What a pleasure to see his photographic work appreciated and exploited not only on a screen !

Video captation and photography of the installation “Forest of Resonating Lamps – One stroke” presented by TeamLab at the fair Maison et Objet Paris at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, France, from September 2nd to September 6th, 2016.
When a person stands still at close range to a lamp, it shines brightly and emits a color that resonates out. The light of this lamp becomes the starting point, and it spreads to the two nearest lamps. The light from the lamps transmits the same color to other lamps, one after another, spreading out continuously. The light transmitted from the lamp always resonates out at a bright light once, passing between close lamps, till all lamps have shone brightly once, and then returns to the first lamp. The light of the lamp in response to human interaction, divides in two, becomes one optical line through all lamps respectively, finally, meeting at the first lamp that became the starting point.

If this simplifies the administrative flow with my French customers, this has no consequence for my non-French customers.
I would like to thank very sincerely all my customers for their confidence and support during these first years of my new work. Be convinced that my motivation remains intact in carrying out the mission that I set to myself: to understand and meet your needs, with a vision to exceed your expectations.
